Following the privacy and data security issues in WhatsApp, new Face and Fingerprint security features have been introduced by WhatsApp.

As per the official tweet from WhatsApp, starting today WhatsApp has started rolling out the security features for WhatsApp Web and Desktop, face and Fingerprint unlock will be available at the time of linking the devices.

WhatsApp Face and Fingerprint Security Features

Users will be able to download the Update for WhatsApp from PlayStore starting today and users can use the face and fingerprint features while opening the WhatsApp web and linking accounts in WhatsApp Desktop.

WhatsApp has also made clear that your face and fingerprint data is safe, and even WhatsApp does not see it.
