It's been a While since Apple Introduced its Apple M1 Chipsets. The first Computers to use Apple M1 Chipsets are already Out in the Market. Many people are wondering if these Apple M1 Chipsets can beat the Intel i7 11th Chipsets. So, here's your handy guide of Apple M1 Chipsets vs Intel i7 Chipsets Performance, Specs, and Benchmarks.

Both Apple M1 Chipsets and the Intel i7 11th Gen Vary a lot in terms of Specifications. While the Apple M1 has 8 Cores and 8 Threads with a Maximum Boost Clock Speed of 3.2 GHz, the Intel i7 11th Gen Only has 4 Cores and 8 Threads with a Base Clock Speed of 3.00 GHz and a Boost Clock of up to 5.00 GHz.

However, the Apple M1 Chips have slightly better Cache speed being 2MB level 1 cache and 16MB Level 2 Cache, where the 11th Gen Intel i7 have 12MB of cache.

Coming to the TDP (Thermal Design Power), the Apple M1 Chips have 10W while the 11th Gen Intel i7 has 35-128W of TDP slightly boosting its performance.

Intel released a Benchmark Testing of both the 11th Gen Intel i7 and the Apple M1 Chipset. They released 3 types of Benchmarks: Gaming, Content Creation, and Productivity. As per the Benchmark testing scores provided by Intel, the 11th Gen Core i7 Processor is more than 30% faster overall and nearly 3x faster while using the most Popular Web Browser (Chrome).

And, The 11th Gen System Performs many functions including PDF import by up to 2.3x faster speed in Microsoft Office 365.

When compared with the New Apple M1 Chipsets, the 11th Gen Intel i7 turns out to be 6x Faster when using New AI-Based Content Creation tools from Topaz Labs, 1.7x faster in Native Versions of Premiere Pro, and 1.5x faster in Emulated versions of photoshop, and lightroom.

Here, as you can see the Intel Core i7 11th Gen is an Overall winner. The Core i7 intel 11th Gen CPU has better Average FPS on Middle Earth, Total War, Borderland, and some other games like Hitman 2, Far Cry New Daws, While, the Apple M1 Chips performs better in Shadow of Tomb Raider, and Hitman.

However, unfortunately, the Apple M1 Chipsets can't be USD to play games like GEARS Tactics, GRID 2019, Hitman 2, Far Cry New Dawn and many other Games.

Concluding that, both Intel i7 11th Gen are head to head competing for each other, in some Games including Shadow of Tomb Raider, the Apple M1 Chipsets outrun the 11th Gen Core i7 Processors while in some Games the 11th Gen Intel Core i7 has the advantage.

Unfortunately, Many Games including GRID 2019, and Hitman 2 can't be played on Apple M1 Chipsets as they are not available for macOS, which is a major negative factor that leads you to not get the Apple M1 Chipsets.

In Specs, the 11th Gen Core i7 features only 4 Cores while the Apple M1's have 8, and both have the same 8 Threads. While the max boost Clock Speed of Apple M1 Chips is only 3.00 GHz whereas the 11th Gen Core i7 can have up to 5.00 GHz. 

The Apple M1 Chipsets have 2MB Level 1 Cache and 16MB Cache while 10W TDP while the Intel Core i7 sports a total of 12M Cache and 35-128W of TDP. As per the official benchmarks provided by Intel, the 11th Gen Core i7 rank out the Apple M1 in every major sector such as Productivity work, Content Creation, and Gaming As well.

However, Apple also states that the Apple M1 Chips are more Powerful and efficient than the Intel Core i7 11th Gen Processors, used in the previous generation of Macbooks, as per the Apple statement, the new Apple M1 Chips are more Battery efficient than the Core i7 11th Gen, but the Benchmarks says something different.
