Yesterday on Mi's 2nd day of the Global Mega Launch Event, Mi has launched its first foldable Smartphone, Mi Mix Fold features a large 8.01-inch WQHD+ resolution internal display as well as a 6.52-inch external display.

The Mi Mix Fold is said to be the first Xiaomi Smartphone to come up with a Surge C1 Image Signal Processor made by Xiaomi itself and optimized for professional-level photography.

Mi Mix Fold provides a Premium Quality experience and features a quad-speaker setup, a 5020mAh battery, and 67W Turbo Charging and well.

8.01-inch Foldable Display

Mi Mix Fold features the industry's largest Foldable Smartphone Display. As its the very first foldable smartphone by Xiaomi.

Mi Mix Fold features an 8.01-inch WQHD+ resolution OLED display with an ultra-large 4:3 aspect ratio, 900 nits peak brightness, and 600 nits of overall brightness while supporting the HDR10+ and DCI-P3 color gamut.

Apart from the primary display, Mi Mix Fold comes with a 6.52-inch external AMOLED Display, which is also the biggest display on any other foldable smartphone. The external display of Mi Mix Fold features a 90Hz of refresh rate, 180Hz touch sampling rate, HD+ resolution, and 27:9 aspect ratio.

First Smartphone to have a Quad-Speaker

Mi Mix Fold comes with dual speakers on both sides of the screen and boasts a 0.65mm amplitude and 1.34cc-equivalent sound cavity. Which makes the Mi Mix Fold the first smartphone to features a quad-speaker setup. 

Mi Mix Fold uses a 15V Smart PA which drivers the sound level up to 40% louder. Mi Mix Fold is also capable of 3D spatial audio field playback.

Use of Liquid Lens Camera and Xiaomi's Surge C1 Image Sensing Processor 

Mi Mix Fold is the first smartphone to debut the Surge C1 Processor and Liquid Lens Technology.

Xiaomi's Surge C1 Processor enables an improved 3A algorithm and low-light focus capabilities for highly accurate autofocus, autoexposure, and auto white-balancing. along with improving the image quality as well.

Liquid Lens Technology is based on the concept of bionic photography. The liquid Lens uses the principle of human eye bionics, making a lense-like structure with a transparent fluid-wrapped film. Mi Mix Fold is capable of 3X optical zoom and 30X telephoto zoom. 

Liquid Lens is able to function in an environment from a low of -40℃ to a high of 60℃ temperature.

Mi Mix Fold comes with a 108MP Main camera, 13MP Ultra-wide camera, and an 8MP liquid lens capable of 80mm equivalent focal length, 3cm minimum focusing distance. Mi Mid Fold is equipped with a 20MP front camera as well.

5020mah battery capable of charging 100% within 37 minutes

Mi Mix Fold boasts a 5020mAh battery, along with 67W fast charging. Mi Mix Fold uses the dual-battery parallel architecture, which consists of two batteries with a capacity of 2,460mAh and 2,560mAh. 

67W fast charging provided in the Mi Mix Fold achieves up to 97.5% conversion rate using a custom-made three IC chipset and the parallel combination of two charge pumps.

Flagship performance with Snapdragon 888, LPDDR5 storage, UFS 3.1, and a butterfly-type cooling system. 

The butterfly-type cooling system integrates large-area VC liquid cooling, thermal gel, multilayer graphite sheets, and other heat dissipation methods. The total heat dissipation area is as high as 22,583.7mm
