Mi launching QLED 4K 75-inch TV on 23rd April

As per the latest tweet from the official Xiaomi India Twitter Handle, Mi will be launching a new Mi QLED 8K 75-inch TV on 23rd April. 

As of 14th April, Xiaomi holds a 25% market share on Television in India as per the IDC report of Q4 2020. Mi had sold 6 Million  Mi TVs in India in the last 3 Years. 



Shipment of TVs in India reached the highest-ever 15 million units in 2019, and the TV segment is seeing 15 percent annual growth, and after the period of Pendamic Cobid-19, demand for OTT platforms is reaching new rights. which in turn is causing an increase in demand for SMart TVs in India. 

More than 55% of the Television sold in India are SmartTV and it's ever-increasing. 

As per the Xiaomi India Category Lead (SmartTV) Eshwar Nilakantan, India has over 200 million households, out of which 170 million users have a Television, and out of those 100 million users have a CRT TV whereas 70 million users have a flat monitor.

And SmartTV in India only count to 20 million only, seeing the number of high users with CRT and flat-monitor TV, it's very likely that the Television Market is going to be a big opportunity for SmartTV Manufacturers as the users will soon be wanting to switch to Smart TVs from CRT or flat-monitor.
