Nvidia announced that they'll be extending support for Arm Based CPU's in the NVIDIA Aerial™ A100 AI-on-5G platform. NVIDIA Aerial A100 AI-on-5G computing platform will use the NVIDIA Aerial Software Development kit, and 16 Arm Cortex-A78 Processors into the Bluefield-3 A100 DPU. This step would deliver businesses edge AI applications over Cloud Based 5G vRAN with faster performance, and lower costs.
"We’re bringing together two worlds — AI of computing and 5G of telecommunications — to create a software-defined platform for AI on 5G," - said Ronnie Vasishta, senior vice president of NVIDIA Telecom “Now supporting Arm, our growing Aerial platform is accelerating AI-on-5G everywhere.”
Bluefield-3 paired with NVIDIA accelerated computing and Arm performance will enable TeleCom networks with more choice in Creating & Deploying 5G systems.
“This convergence of edge AI and 5G technology is driving the need for more diverse compute than ever before" - said Chris Bergey, senior vice president and general manager of the Infrastructure Line of Business at Arm
Bluefield-3 supports to be deployed with x86, and Arm CPU's now. Making Arm a choice in the NVIDIA Aerial A100 AI-on-5G computing platform will make deploying software-defined 5G stations and AI applications easy to manage, easy upgradability of performance and features as well as lowering the costs while increasing the value of their infrastructure investments.
The Sci-Fi of healthcare, retail, smart cities, factories, and beyond being interconnected Digitally is soon to be a reality with the emerging AI-Based 5G Connectivity. The Nvidia Aeriel 5G Platform will give telcos the opportunity to become central to enterprise digitization with new business models and 5G connectivity
