Intel Alder Lake-S based Core i7-12700K CPU Sample Reveals 12 Cores and 24 Threads with 25MB of Cache. Here's What We Know So Far
- A sample of Intel Alder Lake-S Based Core i7-12700k CPU has been seen on SiS Software Sandra Database
- The Lisiting reveals the 12th Gen Intel i7 to feature 12 Cores with 24 Threads and the cache being 25MB
- Other sources also suggests that the 24 Threads has been calucated which is actually 12 Cores & 20 Threads
The Intel’s Alder Lake-S based Core i7-12700K CPU has been discovered on the SiS Software Sandra Database as per a report by wccftech. There’s not a given CPU name on the listing website although WCCFTECH says the specs are most likely of the upcoming Intels 12th Gen Alder Lake-S i7 CPU. Talking about what’s given on the website, the sample is seen with 12 Cores (8x Golden Cove and 4x Goldmont) and a total of 24 Thread count and 25 MB of L3 Cache and the clock speeds is seen to be at a 1.20 GHz base and 3.40 GHz boost frequency (for engineering samples, actual retails versions should be much higher than this).
Moreover, the actual core/thread count might be inaccurate so does the specified cache, as the existing software suites aren’t updated enough to recognize the Intel 12th Gens ~ says wccftech. A Twitter user, also suggests that the actual core/thread count will be 12 cores and 20 threads, and 24 threads are misreported.
